I had the pleasure of teaching under Dr. Butler for nearly 10 years at Washington Elementary, where I began my career in the Florida education system. She was an amazing principal and I will always cherish her patience, positive attitude, approachability, knowledge, and leadership. Because of her I am where I am today. She was my first principal and 20 years later I am still teaching in Palm Beach County.
I would love to know that other teachers are gaining knowledge and skills from Dr. Butler like I did. She has much knowledge to contribute to all involved in education.
Dr. Butler was my mentor during the AIT program this fall at FAU. The program is rigorous and tough, but with Dr. Butler’s support and motivation through it, it was an amazingly enjoyable experience. She is such a sweet and compassionate person while being such a knowledgeable and helpful educator. She always gave the best advice, was always willing to lend a listening ear, kept pushing me, and when times would get tough, helped me wipe the dirt off and continue pushing through. I truly believe she leaves such a lasting impression and is a walking blessing to anyone she meets. Anyone who gets placed with Dr. Butler, or chooses to use her services, you will NOT regret it. I honestly know that I have made not only a lifelong mentor, someone I can look up to and lean on throughout my career, but I have also made a lifelong friend with Dr. Butler.

I was a student at Florida Atlantic University and had the opportunity during my last semester to have Dr. Butler as my mentor for the AIT program. I was really nervous going into my first year as a teacher. With the guidance of Dr. Butler, she made it feel like it was not so bad. She was calm and collected but also didn’t intervene unless it was truly needed. Her method of letting me figure out things while giving me advice as needed made me feel confident in my own abilities. I am truly blessed to have had Dr. Butler as my mentor and I will always remember and use her teachings as my years go on. I hope many more people get to experience this wonderful person that does all she can to help those around her.
